Textile Engineering

This is one of the demanding largest industries in the world. Textile Engineering combines the principles of engineering with textile equipment and processes. Textile engineering deals with the application of scientific and engineering principles to the design and control of all aspects of fiber, textile, and apparel processes, products, and machinery. Textile engineering covers different areas of engineering such as mechanical, electrical, computer, chemical, instrumentation, electronic and structural engineering.

Eligibility for Textile Engineering

Educational Qualifications

Intermediate with Physics, Chemistry, Maths and/or Biology is the basic qualification to do B.Tech in Textile Engineering. Most engineering colleges in the country select candidates based on written entrance examinations. After completing B.Tech/BE in textile engineering.

Textile engineering graduates find excellent job opportunities in diverse industrial sectors. After engineering one can join as a technical services assistant in a textile plant, sales engineer, quality control trainee in a manufacturing unit/facility, assistant designer in a design studio or in a CAD design lab, stylist (fashion designer) in a showroom or a design studio/CAD lab, product development executive in a showroom/studio or lab, fabric development executive in a plant or lab or showroom.
